Chapter 46: Home is the tenth chapter of the fourth book of the series, and forty-sixth chapter overall. It is the penultimate chapter of Book Four.

Plot

Steph reflects on what brought her to Aunt Bea’s dingy ground floor office

Beatrice reviews the particular decision that has undone Steph

Steph is shown texts by Russ, and then Aunt Bea tells Steph about COVID-19

Beatrice fetches tea for Steph, in some novelty mugs of questionable taste

Christine speaks with Pippa downstairs after signing her trans NPH, and realises she can help Steph

Steph and Bea discuss the coming days when Christine is found lurking at the door; she offers to come with Steph to London to visit her family

Cora discusses her reconnaissance with Haley, and Haley taunts her libido by mentioning outfits

Christine and Steph monitor Bethany while Indira suggests a Nadine makeover

Cora is dressed in a Florida winter outfit and looks forward to fucking a guy for info

Christine and Steph head upstairs after dinner to meet Nadine

A very bored Cally talks with Jess, busy from physical training with Trev, and Val

Steph gets to see Nadine’s makeover in one fell swoop

Christine, Nadine, and Indira convince Steph she’s hot

Cora meets a SR employee named Cody who she neither fucked, nor killed, to obtain the required info about the Smyth-Farrows

Steph collects a bagel for Bethany and muses about herself being considered a ‘security risk’ before venturing down to the basement common room
