Alistair Smyth-Farrow is a scion of Crispin Smyth-Farrow, the founding patron of Dorley Hall. He is currently based somewhere in Florida.
He is in his mid fifties; [SD 47] Valérie believes he looks somewhat older than his actual age, [SD 32] Cora assesses that he is "reasonably well-preserved for a cis person". [SD 47] He is "exceptionally" well-groomed with a snobbish, aristocratic demeanor and a sharp, refined English accent. [SD 32]
As a child, Alistair and his sister Henrietta were deliberately kept away from their father's activities and were raised in another wing of Stenordale. He was "shipped off to boarding school at the first opportunity" and, afterward, to Cambridge for university. Neither sibling returned home, instead relocating to America. [SD 44]
Despite Crispin Smyth-Farrow cutting him and his sister out of his will and squandering "almost all" of his money before his death, Alistair and Henrietta have maintained a certain level of affluence by ingratiating themselves with evangelical Christian fundamentalists in the US. [SD 32] (Elle alludes that they are working with prosperity gospel "maniacs".) [SD 44] Recently, the two have reportedly been attempting to insert themselves back into their father's original lines of business. [SD 32]
The new programme
The Smyth-Farrow siblings enter into business with Dorothy Marsden in late 2019. Dorothy is provided with security and logistical services by Silver River Solutions in order to rebuild a force-feminization programme emulating her original tenure at Dorley Hall. Henrietta seems to be the mastermind of the project and the primary decision-maker compared to Alistair, who takes a more passive role.
Following the destruction of Stenordale Manor, Henrietta pivots: the Smyth-Farrows can continue to court investors with Dorothy's video footage of Trevor, Diana, and Val -- now in possession of Dorothy's client books, records, and much of her methodology, they have everything they need to replicate her work and only Elle Lambert as the main obstacle to their success. Cora
While surveilling the Smyth-Farrow's residence in Florida, Cora observes Alistair "pottering around" and repeatedly looking at pornography online; he seems to suffer from erectile dysfunction and Cora notes that he "looks miserable". Improvising a plan, Cora approaches the Smyth-Farrow residence on February 1st; posing as a pizza delivery driver, she takes advantage of the flustered Alistair and invites herself inside. The two have sex, during which Cora extracts useful intel: the Smyth-Farrows are getting nervous about their failure to successfully replicate Dorothy's feminization process and that Henrietta is "probably not even in the country" any longer. Afterwards, Alistair falls asleep, allowing Cora ample time to investigate the house. [SD 47]
When she discovers an incendiary device hidden in the kitchen, she injects Alistair with a sedative and contacts her handler, Haley, requesting permission to set off the device and extract Alistair so as to fake his death and capture him as an intelligence asset. [SD 47]
