When You Fell From Heaven is a series of novels written by Alyson Greaves. Set in Vista Primavera, a fictional suburb of San Diego, California, the novels relate the story of Max and Taylor, seniors at the town's high school as they navigate the experience of being queer teenagers in the early 2000s, and their efforts to win the regional cheer competition.

How to Fly
The first book in the series, consisting of chapters 1-10, was published for print and ebook on August 23rd, 2024.
Max is a gymnast who can no longer pursue his passion. Taylor is a cheerleader with passion to spare.
A brutal attack put an end to Maxwell Giordano’s gymnastics career and ruined his junior year. So he and his family moved across the country for a fresh start, and all he wants now is to keep his head down and graduate in peace with the rest of the class of 2004.

The second book of the series, consisting of 17 chapters (numbered 11–27 on Alyson's Patreon), was published for print and ebook on December 18th, 2025.

Book 3
The third book is currently being written and released on Alyson’s Patreon. Currently it consists of four chapters (numbered 28–31) with chapter 31 expected to be released by the end of January 2026 or in early February.
