Teri is a trans woman who lived in London from at least the mid-1980s on. She was in her "late twenties" in 1988 and nearing sixty by 2019.[SD 27]
Teri shared a home with her partner Linda until the latter's death in 2003. The couple were community-minded and frequently opened their home to homeless trans women. In 1988, they took in Beatrice, not realizing that she had escaped from Dorley Hall;[SD 27] they also housed Ashley[SD 27], who apparently lived with them for well over a decade, and Sue,[SD 28] and in 1994 they were actively expanding their home's capacity to house queer people in need.[SD 28]
After Linda died, her family took the home they had shared, but Beatrice decided to house and disclose Teri.[SD 28] She was highly critical of the idea of Aunt Bea's programme from the beginning, but promised to keep their secrets.[SD 31] In 2019 she attended Dorley's Christmas party and offered to take Aaron home with her.[SD 31]
Teri's birth family is said to have supported her transition and her relationship with Linda.[SD 27]
